Well, we can add another one to that list. We’ve received the honour of an STS Safety Standards for Food Suppliers and Distributors.
What is STS?
The STS work tirelessly to audit and check on all food suppliers and distributors and ensure British companies work to impeccable food safety standards. The STS has been operating for over 30 years and proven time and time again that they are the best. Such is their success that the STS are called upon by the likes of the NHS and the Food Standards Agency to protect the public from poor working practices and promote unparalleled standards.
What does this mean for Tinplate?
This certification means that we have got the green light to work with a proud British institution, The National Trust. We’re so excited to be working with The National Trust to supply their tinned products and gift boxes. We’re working with this incredible charity to bring you two beautifully-crafted products perfect for keepsakes; in the form of a tea kilner tin and a biscuit tin.
The National Trust looks after 780 miles of coastline, over 248,000 hectares of land, over 500 historic sites and close to one million pieces of art. This is a massive undertaking and we are more than ready to help this charity maintain the beauty and heritage of the UK by presenting local produce in stunning packaging that is recyclable and produced to exacting standards. Tin products are great for recycling and upcycling and working with us ensures that The National Trust continue to work in a way that preserves and protects the environment.
