Peter’s Yard are a premium brand who care deeply about sustainability. We are therefore continually working to minimise our environmental impact.’ With Tinplate’s own stance on the importance of sustainability coupled with tin being infinitely recyclable, working together on this project was a natural fit.
Peter’s Yard came to Tinplate looking for a stylish tin to hold their sourdough cracker collection, along with their card ‘pairing wheel’. Peter’s Yard knew they wanted a sleek and timeless tin which would look premium on the shelves of their retailers and be repurposed in their consumers homes for years to come. We suggested a completely bespoke tin, tooled exclusively for them. When initial samples were received we felt the lid fit could be enhanced by adding pips to the lid and body, this was implemented for bulk order.
Peter’s Yard instructed Tinplate to contract pack their new cracker tins at our BRCGS AA+ UK storage facility. This enabled manufacturing, packing planning and logistics to be coordinated with maximum efficiency for all parties. The card insert placed on top of the cracker content allowed the consumer to continue their unveiling experience when they opened the tin. It took them on a learning journey, giving them an understanding how to make the most of their biscuit crackers, by paring them with the perfect cheeses and condiments.
With a tight schedule from the start, Tinplate ensured that it met all agreed delivery date commitments, on-time and in-full. With all surplus food items donated to our local foodbank charities, with consent from our client. The tins were very well received in the market, by many major retailers. All of which
increased their order volumes from those forecast, which was great news for our
client and their brand.
